Joining the Workshops on Zoom

Downloading Zoom

You can download Zoom using the website:  https://zoom.us.download

Install the Zoom.exe

ZoomInstallerFull.exe will be found in your Download Folder

Double Click on the file

Zoom installer will commence

Agree to any conditions and load the app onto your computer

Move the Icon to your task bar

Run the Zoom program

Click on Windows icon in task bar

•Find the Zoom program

•At the bottom of your program list

•On your desktop

•On the Task Bar

•Select and click to launch Zoom

Using Zoom on smartphone

1. Open the Google Play Store: Find and tap the Play Store icon on your phone's home screen or in your app drawer.

2. Search for Zoom: Tap the search bar at the top of the screen and type "Zoom".

3. Select the app: Look for "Zoom Workplace" or "Zoom Cloud Meetings" in the search results, and then tap it.

4. Install the app: Tap the "Install" button. You may need to accept permissions or enter your Google password to start the download.

5. Open Zoom: Once the download is finished, tap "Open" in the Play Store, or find the new Zoom icon on your home screen to launch the app.

You can control whether you are muted and whether your webcam is turned on (bottom left of the screen).

You will an opportunity to unmute yourself and ask questions.

You can also ask questions in the chat. 

We anticipate that for the first few sessions we will exceed our licence capacity of 100 attendees.  Some people will not be able to join.  However, they will be able to catch up using the recordings.
